We meet Monday nights (except Public Holidays) at Warrimoo Citizens' Hall located on the Great Western Highway. The class commences at 7.30pm and runs until 9.30pm with time for a leisurely supper afterwards.
Dancers are not required to bring a partner as they will find many willing partners in the class. Please bring soft shoes for dancing in and wear comfortable clothing - skirts preferable for women and dress shorts for men.The first class is free with classes thereafter costing $5 for Society members and students, $7 for non-members.
Susie Pugh began the Warrimoo class in 2003 with a group of 6 dancers. This number has expanded over the years to include over 30 members in 2008.Susie gained her RSCDS Teachers' Certificate in May 2006 and has taught at day workshops in and around Sydney, MC-ed various socials including the Sydney Branch Ball and taught at the Australian Winter School in Canberra in 2007. She looks forward to teaching at this year's Summer School in Christchurch, NZ and at the 34th Australian Winter School in Kiama in July, 2009.
The Lower Blue Mountains SCD Club hosts their annual social, featuring award-winning live music, in early May. Why not join us for a warm, friendly, fun-filled evening with great music, super dancing and a delicious supper to keep your spirits up all the way home? You won't be disappointed!
