Sydney is Australia's largest and oldest city and visitors will find that both the Sydney Branch and the many Scottish country dance clubs host classes on most weeknights throughout the dancing year (February - December). The Sydney Branch coordinates a number of social events and dance workshops throught the year, which you will find detailed in our Events section.

Annual membership of the RSCDS Sydney Branch costs $45 ($40 for under 25s). Members can attend classes, workshops, socials, residential weekends and Winter Schools, often with a member's discount. The newsletter, SNIB, is issued four times a year. Membership of the Sydney Branch includes membership of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Each member receives 'Scottish Country Dancer', the Society magazine, twice a year. The Society has more than 20,000 members in over 160 Branches throughout the world and has been promoting the enjoyment of Scottish country dancing for more than 80 years.
